Welcome to Seventeen Seconds!

Before I share a bit about myself, I want to say thank you—truly. Thank you for being here, for supporting this passion of mine, and for helping create a space that’s meant for everyone.

My goal with Seventeen Seconds is to offer jewelry that celebrates all people. This is a space where individuality shines, and where you’ll find pieces as unique as you are. I want you to feel joy when you dress up, to express yourself freely, and to discover something that genuinely reflects your personality.

A little about me: I’m Kira, 23 years old, born and raised in Alaska. This is my passion project. I work a 8-5 in aviation and I love it! I adore my animals, hosting, games, clothes, music, and of course, making jewelry. This brand is a piece of my heart, and I’m so excited to share it with you.

Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you stay a while and find something you love.

With appreciation,

Kira

Seventeen Seconds Meaning

T/W: Mental Health

In a graphic design class, I was asked to create a personal brand. At the time, I was struggling with panic disorder and agoraphobia. I wanted to build something that held meaning—something that could motivate me to heal. This sparked my ability to take this personal brand message and my passion for jewelry, and build this, Seventeen Seconds Jewelry.

Seventeen Seconds comes from an album and song by The Cure. The song touches on suicide and how quickly life can change. Like poetry, music allows people to find their own meaning. For me, it means this: it only takes 17 seconds for everything to shift, good or bad.

My anxiety began after a 7.1 earthquake struck during my chemistry class. In just 17 seconds, my life changed. I went from going out with friends every day to being unable to leave the house for months.

But life is full of these moments—first 17 seconds meeting someone who changes everything, or the 17 seconds after losing someone you love. Life is short. It’s unpredictable. And that’s okay.

Take the next 17 seconds to do something for you.

Stay Safe,

Kira
